Sheikah Towers are vital to your exploration of Hyrule. Not only do they give you a perfect view of the surrounding area as you search for Shrines, but they also provide teleportation points to help travel more quickly. Each tower is its own small puzzle with some being extremely easy and straightforward climbs to the top, while others are surrounded by enemies or natural hazards. Our guide below provides you with the exact location of each tower as well as an explanation on how to complete each climb.

Great Plateau Tower

video

The Great Plateau Tower is the first Sheikah Tower you'll encounter in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. As its part of the Main Quest line, it's impossible to miss and also incredibly easy to climb. So easy, you'll have to do it twice. The trick here, as with nearly all the towers is to climb to one platform and rest fully until you start again. You can get in one jump, sometimes two and still make it on one Stamina wheel. Stick to one jump to be safe and you'll be on top in no time.

Dueling Peaks Tower

video

Dueling Peaks Tower will likely be the second tower you visit on the way to Impa. The best way to approach this tower is from the Northeast corner. As you travel east, you'll want to go past the tower and cross the Squabble River. There's a series of rocks that will make it easier near a yellow flower (which if followed will also give you a Korok Seed). Cross the river and head up the rock ramp that nearly touches the tower and proceed to climb the platforms from there.

Hateno Tower

video

Overlooking Hateno Village, the Hateno Tower will require some way to burn the thorns surrounding the tower. Make your way up the road until you are just west of the tower. There will be a few Moblins on the way, either fight or escape them. Once you get to the foot of the tower, you'll need to burn away the thorns covering the sides in order to climb it. You can use Fire Arrows, Bomb Arrows, light a Torch, make a fire and light it with any burnable weapon. Any thing that makes fire will burn through the thorns and you'll have a clear path to the top.

Lanaryu Tower

video

Lanaryu Tower can be approached best from either the east near Zodobon Highlands or the south from Quatta's Shelf. If you start near the Ta'loh Naeg Shrine near Kakariko Village, make your way long the hills to the north until you can see the tower clearly. Make a jump and use the Paraglider to travel to the east of the tower. You'll be able to pass most of the enemies from the east by climbing up the rocky hill to the tower. To the northwest of the tower, you'll find a wooden tower stand that you can climb and then jump over to the base of the tower.

Akkala Tower

video

The Akkala Tower is high and surrounded by an old fortress. Pack your climbing gear because you'll need it for this one. You'll want to approach it from the south and head up the stairway on the west side. Take care of any enemies while avoiding the Guardians. Once you can reach the fortress walls, it's time to start climbing. Once at the top, you'll see an eye in the doorway to shoot. Killing it will release a metal platform you can use Magnesis on to create a platform to the left. Cross the new platform and move it again to create another bridge ahead of you. Make your way around the tower base, kiling the Bokoblins. Once you reach the top where there are stairs leading to the tower itself, look for your metal platform to the side and move it to bridge the gap to the tower. Climbing the tower from there should be straightforward.

Eldin Tower

video

The Eldin Tower is easy to climb, once you get there. Other than some fire-based enemies, there isn't much to bother you on your ascent. If you've unlocked the Akkala Tower already, then make a hop using your Paraglider to the west. You'll have to do some climbing but the rock faces aren't too steep. There is a rock formation on the side that will help you get to a platform on the tower quickly.

Woodland Tower

video

The Woodland Tower area is pretty accessible from any direction. The Military Training Camp will give you a few enemies to deal with but nothing too powerful. You'll need to find the wooden tower platform that rises up next to the tower. Climb the platform and jump over to the side of the tower and proceed climbing from there.

Hebra Tower

video

Situated in the cold hills of Tabantha, the Hebra Tower can prove a pain for the unprepared. Before making your way to the tower, be sure to have some way to keep warm: Warm Doublet, Torch, Elixirs, or Food. At the base of the tower, you'll find it blocked by ice that will need to melted. Anything fire-related will melt the ice, but a quick way is to have a torch or weapon that is lit and stand next the ice. After a few moments, the ice will be gone and you can continue the climb to the top.

Tabantha Tower

video

Tabantha Tower is surrounded by malice from Calamity Ganon. You'll find three pillars. Climb up the one that is to the southwest of the tower. Looking to the northern tower you will see an eye in the maline. Shoot the eye, and the northern pillar will topple down against the tower, providing you with an easy way to reach the platform and being your climb.

Gerudo Tower

video

Hidden by sandstorm, Gerudo Tower can be difficult to spot. You can either climb along the mountains to the east of it and reach it that way or come from the south and use the scaffolding to make your way up. At the top, look for a wooden platform that reaches out towards the tower. Use that to jump over to the tower and make your way up.

Ridgeland Tower

video

Ridgeland Tower is difficult. There is no other way about it. Unless you're packing some firepower already and can deal with the enemies head on, you'll need some strategy and some luck. Your first goal is to make your way to the tower. The east side of the tower has less enemies than the other side and it's probably best to approach from the northeast. Having some ice arrows or bomb arrows will help with the Wizrobes. Freeze enemies you don't want to deal with in order to move past them. If you can make your way to base platforms without having the entire area of enemies swarming you, start to make your way up. If a Wizrobe spots you while you are climbing, hit it with a Bomb Arrow to knock it back down to the ground, allowing you to continue.

Wastelands Tower

video

Wastelands Tower is both a climb to get to and also has an added puzzle at the base to boot. Once you reach the base, you'll find it surrounded by a bog. You can use either Cryonis on the bog or move the metal boxes to create towers that will allow you jump to the stone pillars and climb up.

Central Tower

video

Though close to your starting area, Central Tower is definitely not one of the easiest towers to climb. Surrounded by active Guardians, you'll be dodging deadly lasers as you make your way up. It's hard for them to hit you when you paraglide so approaching the tower from the air can prove useful. You can create an updraft on the hill to the west of the tower that will carry you to a platform. You'll then need to make your way up quickly, using the platforms to stop the Guardians from targeting you and firing. Using food or elixirs to increase your movement speed can help, as well as some climbing armor.

Faron Tower

video

Faron Tower is situated in the forests of South Hyrule. The platforms on the side of the tower don't begin till well over halfway up, so you'll need to find a way to reach those platforms. You can make a quick jump from rock ridge to the north of it, which should allow you to reach the platforms easily. If you are looking to try the fancy way, you can attach Octo Balloons to the dark stone walls that surround the tower. Attaching them will usually cause the stones to turn vertical, giving you only the tops to stand on. You can attach the Octo Balloons and then jump to climb as it begins to turn up. Be sure to have 5-6 Octo Balloons in your inventory as you'll need to attach a new one before currently placed balloons pop. Keep cycling new balloons to replace the old ones until you feel you can make the jump to a platform and climb up.

Lake Tower

video

Lake Tower is surrounded by rocks and enemies, but both can be easily avoided as you make your way to the base of the tower. The climb itself is similar to the early towers and shouldn't give you any trouble.
